Uma crítica bem humorada e caseira contra os políticos e a farra que acontece no ano eleitoral.

What sort of people are WeAreThinking.com, PFOX, and quovadisjoe? As an aside, I can't dress up as a garden gnome. As a gay man, my wildly out of control fashion sense wouldn't allow me to do anything so unstylish.

The claims in PFOX/wearethinking.com's video are disputed by all major mental health professional organizations in the US.

Michael Bussee, one of the founders of Exodus International, the largest "exgay" organization in the nation is now a gay man who speaks out against Exodus. Bussee grew up unsure of what to call his same-sex-attractions leading him to go to the public library and look up the names other children were calling him. Bussee only found books describing homosexuality as an aberration and mental disorder. Leaders of 'exgay' organizations such as Exodus International like to assert change is possible and point to themselves as proof that 'change is possible.' In this series of interviews survivors of 'exgay' programs explain how they too once believed their sexual orientation only to realize later a genuine change had NOT occurred. A mom, Susan Stanskas, discusses how 'ex-gay' organizations divide families - in the name of family values - and even cause some gay teenagers to commit suicide. In this video, she urges parents to accept their gay and lesbian children and warns about the harm done by rejecting them. If you are a parent who has learned your child is gay or lesbian, please visit www.PFLAG.org.

Former Major League Baseball player and out gay man Billy Bean comments on "ex-gay" claims that playing sports will help make gay men heterosexual.

Michael Bussee, one of the founders of Exodus International, the largest "exgay" organization in the nation is now a gay man who speaks out against Exodus. After co-founding Exodus Bussee fell in love with another "ex-gay" Gary Cooper. As expected Bussee and Cooper lost their entire church social network and remained silent about the "exgay" issue for many years. Cooper contracted HIV and shortly thereafter saw the Rev. Lou Sheldon of the Traditional Values Coalition claiming Exodus was "tremendously successful" to justify his war on the civil rights of gay people. Bussee and Cooper felt they could no longer remain silent and came out in the media as "ex-ex-gay" declaring conversion therapy as ineffective. Robert Elster was in so-called "ex-gay" ministries for 20 years. Convinced by these groups he was cured, he married his wife Judy for 15 years and they have two children. Unfortunately, the marriage ended because Robert had not become straight. He had been sold false hope and bought into what he now calls his "inauthentic self." Today, he lives as an out, proud openly gay man in California.

For thirty years, Victoria Lavin thought reading Scripture would make her straight. When the miracle "cure" did not work, she numbed her pain with drugs and alcohol. In recovery for substance abuse, Victoria finally realized she was fine, just as she was. She came out to her pastor and he condemned her. Thankfully, Victoria's daughter was there for support in her moment of need. As a result, Victoria reconnected with God and entered seminary. Today, she is out and proud, living in rural Nebraska. Coming Out was the "cure" she needed all along to find true happiness and be at peace with her spirituality.

Several dozen people demonstrated outside the DFW Airport Marriott, where the National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) held its annual conference. Members discussed the use of therapy to suppress someone's homosexual desires. The message from the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender groups protesting the events is that homosexuality needs no cure because it is not an illness and that attempts to convert gays is destructive and based on quack science.

Michael Bussee, one of the founders of Exodus International, the largest "exgay" organization in the nation is now a gay man who speaks out against Exodus. Here he discusses how his early involvement in a Christian crisis hotline lead him to learn of the existence of supposed "ex-gays." While working at the hotline Bussee was shocked to learn many Christian counselors held bizarre views about homosexuals being possessed by demons. This led Bussee to found a small "ex-gay" ministry called EXIT. EXIT later joined into a coalition of other ministries which would become known as Exodus. Here he discusses how groups like Exodus and Focus on the Family state "the opposite of homosexuality isn't heterosexuality, the opposite of homosexuality is holiness." Michael finds this deeply hurtful and is himself an out gay man of faith who serves as an elder in his church where his sexuality is a non-issue.
