Dorothea Lange was the countrys most influential documentary photographer in the period 1930-1950. She worked for several state and federal government agencies documenting the social issues of this period: the Great Depression, FDR and his New Deals war against the depression crisis, Californias World War II defense industries, the Japanese internment, and the 1945 inaugural meeting of the United Nations in San Francisco. Ilse de Lange Ilse delange I Still Cry Ilse de Lange Ilse Delange Ilse Annoeska de Lange was born on May 13, 1977 in Almelo, Netherlands. She started her career at the age of 8 as a lip-synching artist, which won her several contests. DeLange drew greater attention after switching to a live repertoire in both regional and national talent shows in Hilversum (the Dutch city where most TV-programs are shot). This helped her book some live-performances on national television. She formed a duo with guitarist Joop Liefland, who introduced her to country music. In 1994 Ilse performed at the Dutch Country Music Awards. Despite positive reviews, nothing happened with her career. She did get in touch with representatives of Warner Music but it took several years of negotiation before Warner Music decided to offer Ilse a contract. In 1996 DeLange joined the popgroup Wij where the group released the single "De Oorlog Meegemaakt" ("Experienced The War"). However the single didn't chart the Dutch Top 40. The Great Escape Main article: The Great Escape (Ilse DeLange album) Ilse DeLange at Parkpop in 2006In the beginning of 2004 Warner Music dropped all Dutch artists from their label, similar to what happened with the band Krezip. Shortly after this she received another Edison Award, this time for "Clean Up". Ilse delange In April 2004 she collaborated on a single with Italian singer Zucchero. The song was called "Blue" and was a small hit in the Netherlands. There was no information about a new record deal, but Ilse stated that she was working on her future. Ilse delange In the end of 2005, DeLange went on tour (without a new album) and every concert was sold out. Meanwhile in America she began working with top producer Patrick Leonard (known for his work with Madonna) on a new album called "The Great Escape". This album was released on June 16, 2006. The first single was the title track The Great Escape, and was released in May, peaking at #11 in the Dutch Top 40. A week after its release (debuting at #1) the album went Gold, and in August 2006 it went Platinum. In September her second single was released "The Lonely One" which peaked at #18. In October she received her second TMF Award. Ilse delange Ilse was a special guest of the concerts Marco Borsato which took place in Arnhem. In December she performed a mini-tour, which sold out. Her third single, "I Love You", was released in February 2007'. It peaked at #23. By the final American flight out of South Vietnam, over 2,000 infants and children had been evacuated. Along with Operation New Life, over 110,000 refugees were evacuated from South Vietnam at the end of the Vietnam War. The first military evacuation flight, a C-5A Galaxy cargo plane loaded with over 300 crew, children and adult escorts, experienced an "explosive rapid decompression" about 40 miles (64 km) outside Saigon when the rear ramp and pressure door blew out through the rear of the aircraft (due to a lock failure) and was forced to return to Tan Son Nhut with no flight controls to the tail, and only limited roll control. The plane could not reach the airport; but instead crash-landed, at about 270 knots (500 km/h), two miles (3 km) away into a field of flooded rice paddies, killing 138 people, including 127 of the orphans. However, over half of the passengers survived the crash. Most of the infants and adults in the upper deck areas survived. Those in the lower decks, including most of the adult "chaperones", "non-essential" members of the Defence Attache's Office (mainly administrative staff), did not. Nicht nur weil er (wie ich finde) zurecht das Niveau dieser Preisverleihung und der deutschen Fernsehlandschaft kritisiert, sondern weil er sich von denjenigen abgrenzt, die sich (zumeist) auch noch ungemein viel darauf einbilden für diesen Schrott verantwortlich zu sein. op 29 oktober 2008 hielden honderden afghaanse vluchtelingen een 24-uur lang durende demonstratie voor het parlementsgebouw. Ook marcheerden zij gezamenlijk naar de rechtbank van Den Haag. En kwamen later weer terug naar het parlements gebouw. En gingen ze daar overnachten. Zij vinden het onrechtvaardig dat ze 10 á 15 jaar onzeker op een verblijfsvergunning moeten wachten. De afghanen worden opgepakt of teruggestuurd zonder enige bewijs. kinderen worden van hun vader gescheiden. Is het geen misdaad om mensen jaren lang in onzekerheid te houden? De afghanen hebben al een maand lang demonstratie gehouden.Met als doel rechtvaardigheid. Ook jij kan ze helpen.
