Hoobastank formed in the Los Angeles suburb of Agoura Hills in early 1994, after vocalist Doug Robb met guitarist Dan Estrin at a high-school battle of the bands competition. The two chose to join forces, and after adding drummer Chris Hesse, Hoobastank was born. While heavy alternative sounds were primary influences, Hoobastank tempered the gloomier elements of that music with a suburban California groove and an eye for accessibility. The song "Born To Lead" featured in this Fast Focus on Music segment identifies the bands intimate views on writing, spirituality and belief in oneself. This is one of the great older song from hoobastank. Its all inspired by religion and douggs take on how they persuade/force you to join 1 religion or another. Its in my top 7 all time favorite hooba songs And yes thats a saxaphone in the beginning they used to use it alot in this song the sax is by derek kwan bet you guys didnt know that
