    that's strange... why would you use bobby pins to do a bun? wouldn't you use bun pins (aka french pins)?

    proffesional dancers have people do their buns for them...or they do it better themselves.

    thanks. i usually have really really bad buns. then yesturday i had class and i did it like the first one, and it actual stayed, and my friends in my class actually commented on me having a nice bun:D thanks again!

    I think what you do for short hair is, make a ponytail and secure it with an elastic, then separate the ponytail into several sections. Wrap each section around the elastic, one at a time into a swirl-type shape and pin it in place with Bobby pins. After you have pinned the all of the sections, use a hair net to keep the hair in place. I hope this helps.

    Hmm...nice tips, but those buns were not pretty. They might stay well but I thought ballet buns were supposed to look good.
